Tiling Begins

A quick update,tiler started screeding all the wet areas yesterday,finished today,starting tiling tomorrow,,cant wait ,,,the bench top went in this morning,,looks nice,,u cant really see it in the pics,but its white ceaser stone, with water fall both ends,,also the plumber was back today , doing down pipes and fitting of internal plumbing in cupboards,,all together it was a busy day on site,,oh he also installed the bath,,the front porch,will be screed tomorrow and tiled,,the builder due back monday to finish woodwork,then all going well painting late next week,,here r a few pics

  1. Lots of work going on your site, I have nothing, tiler still didn't complete his work, no proper communication from SS, I hate unnecessary waiting, frustrating,

  2. Did they start painting urs today? We are getting the vanities blocked in under neath and the tiler is going to use the same floor tiles to cover the new kick board,,very happy with that out come,,,we dont have to pay a cent for extra tiles they need,,,,,we sgill have no water tank,,i really think it would b miraculous if the painter started late next week,,,can only hope :-) did u check ur site today?

  3. Went to site just now, start painting only 3 windows, then may be left
    I really can't understand allworth work progress, tiler took 2 full weeks, not finished, I think painter may take 4 weeks, then 4 weeks fir carpet and tiles, 3 weeks for other fit outs. Handover end of May..Lol

Well thats good the painter started,,i might b going to have ur painter when hes finished urs,,r u getting antpy feature walls painted,,they take a little longer,,they have to roll them,,we r doing ours after handover and before flooring goes down,,im pretty messy when i paint apparently lol,,i reckon u will b in 3weeks

  5. I don't think they will finish in 3 weeks, iam thinking 4-5 weeks, no feature walls, will do it after handover.

  8. Doing all the frame work and doors takes the longest,,spraying the walls is very quick,,again painting is something u dont want them to hurry too much lol

Yeah its about 3.6 long,,,i actually watched them install the counter top,,very fiddley,,and heavy lol,,im hoping it looks nice when the tiling gets done,,our sink was put in today, and it came with a chopping board and stainless steel collinder that fit inside the sink,,i was going to buy that, but it was $169,,, glad it came with it :-)

  12. I reckon my handover is about 4weeks,,,then i have to get flooring done,that takes about 2 days, blinds will go in at the same time,,fingers crossed :-)

  13. I recon you will be moved in faster, will see how. I cant contact your blinds guy and i found another guy and measurements all done. hopefully installed straight away when i moved in, organaised electrician already, hope both will start and finish same time,

Yeah hubby, done a plan of everything he has to do once in, ,its not pretty lol,,,ive even decided to put led strip lights under the island bench top,,its going to change colours,,lol,,,hubby is going to spend more time in the roof than living under it, when we first move in lol,,,,so many down lights and pendants,not to mention security cameras,like i said i dont think i will see him much lol

Cant help ya,on that one,,we had to get them done through allworth,,,dont know who makes them or what they look like,,i just know they were costly, because we were bush fire rated, the mesh has to b metal, not the normal mesh u get,,,but atleast they will b done at hand over,,one less thing to think about lol
