Still Landscaping

We truely didnt realise how long it takes to do all  the landscaping, very hard work but also very gratifying, we finished down our off side last weekend, we will start the front retaining wall this weekend, i actually bought our first plants yersterday,, hope they live with all the wind we,ve had, the concrete diveway was partially pulled up and will b re poured this week sometime, thats why the frontwall is only being done now, they will also have to come back and colour tint it,alot darker,,they couldnt have got it so wrong if they tried to ,,,not happy, here r todays pics

  1. Great work Ann, looks lovely. We are planning to go with pavers with pebbles on side of the house, 400X400 pavers with white pebbles. I may go with same like yours. I want to know, did you use concrete for under pavers or just a roadbase? Yours looks almost completed, mine still a lot of works to do.

  2. Thanx,,,ours are 450x450 and limestone pebbles, when they get wet they will b a little greyer, road base and 10 ml, gravel,,,we got all our retaining blocks and pavers from hunter stone at heatherbrea, alot cheaper then any where else,,pictures are decieving, we still have front and 1/2 of one side still to retain, then build the pagola out the rear,,getting there slowly i suppose,,,,,oh the pebbles are limestone.

  3. Limestone pebbles looks really nice, I may required may be 30 pavers plus pebbles. If you don't mind how much cost for paver each and pebbles. I won't need now, may be later. I looked in lee rovans warnersbay. I will go and look that place you said when I have a time.

  4. The pavers were $6 each or just under and the limestone was from paynes at wallsend, it was $245 per cubic mtre, which is roughly 3 scoops of a front end loader,,hunter stone have a web site, it has prices on it,,,,,our pavers were seconds, but u cant tell the difference. Looking forward to getting some grass, the dog is also lol

  13. Na, im just one of the unlucky ones, he was one of the bodgey ones,,he didnt put enough oxide into the mix,,thats why its so light,,he has come back and cut away 1/2 the driveway and formed up for the new pour,,,that was a week and a half ago, ,so we cant use the garage, and we cant finish the front retaining wall,,,so painful
